haircut

I've been contemplating a haircut for about a month now, but the dream I had with short hair last week sent me over the edge, so I booked an appointment for when I go back to LA. Now the only question is to stay blonde or back to brunette? Hmm..

acclimated

none of these are mine

Back the quotidian lifestyle of a college student. I forgot how many periods of nothingness get interspersed amongst all the angst; luckily I've collected some inspiration from various sites to keep me sane: beaches, velvet coats, classic cars with exceptional authors, perching beauties, whimsical caverns to explore the imagination, tiny white dresses, warmth, sunnier days, Italian escapes, sexily formal attire, blush-peach tones, and the emotions evoked by William Eggleston's photography.

her soul won't surface and her heart won't ache

Some shots form September to December, in descending order.

This is what happens when I ask my dad to take pictures of me. Needless to say, he's not know for his photography skills. I spent two days in San Francisco last week and was unable to do even half the things I wanted to, but at least it was mildly sunny! This was taken in the middle of O'Farrell by my hotel. This whole trip I was sans hair brush- surprisingly easy to live without albeit I may not have looked my best...

pasha

Dolce Vita Pasha. Just ordered. I know they're old news, but I found some for $46 and they'll be perfect for spring! And California weather in general.

i've been lying in the bright light see my shadow from below

Morning in San Luis Obispo. I had a layover of sorts here for two nights but I'm currently tucked into my hotel in San Francisco with obtuse sirens going off ever 15 minutes. It's awesome. Pictured above (guest appearance by the frizzies) is a periphery snippet of this cerise slip dress I got at Urban Outfitters. I need to find something to wear over it though- preferably a plain black knit- as I'm not endowed enough to wear this without coverage on top!

I feel like I've been living in a perpetual road trip lately and these 3 CDs have been on constant repeat- and yes, I still use CDs. I know it's decidedly cheesy and has now been demoted to a Swifter commercial, but I cannot get enough of Todd Rundgren's "Hello It's Me" or any song off The Virgin Suicides soundtrack, to be honest. 70s rock was is pure magic.

Lastly, been dreaming of these babies- Dolce Vita Jemma. I could definitely see myself stomping around campus in these, regardless of how rocky and hike-reminicent the terrain is.

i like the shiny shiny

Here's a New Years post five days late! I celebrated by going back to an old high school friend's house where there was some disgusting rum/vodka concoction, but just before midnight my friend and I ran over to another girl's house and ended the evening with those poppers and a private screening of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. I'm not quite sure how I feel about the movie, but this has been the most relaxed New Years I've encountered by far.

I wanted to create this open journal to share pictures, musings, memories, and thoughts that are special to me. So here goes: I wore a that silver mesh Versace x H&M dress with a faux fur coat I got from Macy's Bar III line- not pictured are my Jessica Simpson Danys and I swear there's a taupe suede Topshop satchel thrown in there somewhere. When I got this dress for Christmas I knew it would be perfect for NYE, I just wish that our tentative plans for New York had pulled through; it's such an ideal spot for this time of year.
